The Niobe Fritillary (Argynnis niobe) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is common throughout Europe, but absent from Northern Europe, and is also found in Siberia, Russia, Iran, China, and Korea[1]
Flight is from May to August, size is 46–60 millimetres (1.8–2.4 in), and is found at altitudes between sea level and 2,400 metres (7,900 ft).[2]
This species has a brown-orange background with black dots and stripes.
This species feeds on Viola tricolor and Plantago lanceolata.
